Lisa Marie Rose, 19, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was born on September 12, 1986 to Cheryl and Dustan Rose. Lisa was a 2005 Honor graduate of King High School. She was presently enrolled at Del Mar College and was employed by Janet's Cakery. She will always be remembered for her boisterous spirit and loving heart. She was an accomplished pianist and loved all forms of music.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dustan Rose, and her paternal grandparents, Herbert and Marie Rose.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Douglas Rottman; her stepbrother, Christopher Rottman; grandmother, Darlene Hobson; and will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation and a funeral service were held Sept. 2 & 3 at Seaside Funeral Home. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers: Christopher Rottman, Michael Lingenfelder, Brian Lingenfelder, Christopher Young, Frank Baltazar and Johnny Mora.

"Police and several people close to Lisa Rose on Thursday described her relationship with her boyfriend, Chris Quartaro, as abusive, but police said she never filed a police report against him during their courtship of several months.
"Rose, 19, was shot once in the head Wednesday morning at the cash register of Janet's Cakery, 5880 Everhart Road. She died from her injuries several hours later at Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial.
"Witnesses told police Quartaro, 21, walked into the store and shot her. Quartaro then left the store and fled the scene in Rose's yellow Dodge Neon, store employees told police. Police chased the car for 45 minutes, finally stopping it near Woodsboro. Before officers closed in, Quataro shot himself in the face.
"Corpus Christi Police Capt. John Houston said Quartaro's injuries were not life threatening. He remained in stable condition at a local hospital late Thursday, he said.
"Houston said formal charges of murder had not been filed against Quartaro late Thursday. Investigators were interviewing friends and family to determine what led to the shooting.
"At the time of the shooting, Quartaro was out on a $500 bond from a 2005 assault charge against his mother, Barbara Quartaro, according to court records. A trial was scheduled to begin Monday but was postponed. Attempts to reach Quartaro's attorney were unsuccessful late Thursday.
"Friends said they knew the couple's relationship had been stormy.
Rose's ex-boyfriend Johan Hernandez, who said he dated Rose for eight months before she began seeing Quartaro, said he last spoke with her about 10 days ago.
"'I called her, and she told me she was doing OK, except for bruises on her neck,' he said. 'He had been trying to choke her.'
"Hernandez said that even after he and Rose broke up and she began seeing Quartaro, they remained friends - despite Quartaro's jealousy - and Rose often called him to complain about Quartaro's behavior.
"'As soon as they got together, I would call her, and she would start crying,' Hernandez said. 'She would say that he was trying to hit her and that he was getting mad for no reason.'
"Ray Trice, Rose's former roommate who had known her for about two years, said he met Quartaro several times and sensed something was wrong from the start.
"'The boyfriend (Quartaro) always made me nervous. It always seemed like he would do something bad,' Trice said. 'I had a bad feeling like he wasn't right in the head, but I can't put my finger exactly on it.'
"Rose wrote on her personal Web page of her rocky relationship with Quartaro.
"'I am in love with a wonderful man who might not always make the right decision but I still care about him just the same," Rose wrote.'"
