AZTEC, N.M. — Bliss Blake, 74, of Aztec, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, in Farmington, N.M. He was born May 27, 1932 in Franklin Township, Ohio, to Carl and Wilma Blake.
Bliss served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1957 and received an honorable discharge as a staff sergeant. He and his wife of 45 years, Ruth, moved their family to Aztec, N.M., in 1983.
Bliss is survived by his wife, Ruth Blake; three children, Scott and wife Yolanda Blake of Supulpa, Okla., Jerry and wife Robin of Aztec, N.M., and Polly and husband John Laubach of Phoenix, Ariz. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Ginessa, Jessica, Amber and Kimberly Blake.
Services for Bliss will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Aztec with Rev. Dwayne DePew officiating.
