Alice Anderson, 95, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at CNC Unit, Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Roger Dahlin officiating. Casket bearers included David Anderson, Scott Anderson, Aaron Kroetsch, Philip Kroetsch, Terry Timm and Herb Skiple. Honorary casket bearers included Kristoffer Kroetsch and Patrick Anderson. Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Alice Mae Doran was born on February 21, 1909 in New Solum Township, Marshall County, near Anita, the daughter of Peter and Matilda (Bring) Doran. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, and attended Busy Bee Country School, Holt School and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls. Following High School she took Nurses Training classes.
Alice was united in marriage to George I. Anderson on April 6, 1929. She worked as Nurse's Aide, Land O' Lakes for 20 years and also enjoyed being a Homemaker.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, antiquing, card playing, gardening and especially spending time with her family and friends. Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years, Keenagers, Sons of Norway and the Rebeccas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George I. Anderson; daughter, Delores Anderson; her parents; brothers: George Doran, Clarence Doran, John (Ruby) Doran; sisters: Grace (Olaf) Tunheim and Pearl (Clarence) Sandberg.
