In 1794 Job Eddy went with his wife, Fanny Winslow Eddy and his family to Otsego County, NY, where he had a farm. In 1825 he moved to Cherry Creek, Chautauqua County, NY where he was one of the pioneers. He served in the War of 1812 in Lieut. Col. Matthew Clyde's Regiment and in 1817 was Captain of the 112th Regiment of Infantry. Job and Fanny had a family of three girls and four boys.
