She was born in Mud River, West Virginia, worked part time as a school teacher at Conley Elementary School, was a cashier for many years at Cohen Drug Store, Madison, WV and was owner/operator of Kitchen’s Chevron. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sonja and Vennis Gore of Punta Gorda, FL; sisters, Lucille Miller of Ripley, WV, Rose Thompson of Madison, WV and Janice Price of Ridgeview, WV; grandchildren, Shawn Gore of Punta Gorda, FL and Stephanie Villanti of Riverview, FL; and great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Emily.
Visitation for friends will begin at 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday December 19, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.
