Mr. Fred Marvin Coltrane, Sr., 81, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at Concord Friends Meeting with Rev. Greg Creed and Rev. Archie Creed officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-12 Friday, prior to the service at the church. There will be a private burial in Guilford Memorial Park.
Fred was born October 24, 1934 in Guilford County to the late Gravner and Edna Wakefield Coltrane. He was owner and operator of AIC Insulation, Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Janet Rogers Coltrane of the home; son, Fred M. Coltrane, Jr. (Judy) of Atlanta, GA; 2 daughters, Cathy Coltrane Allen and Kristie Lynn Coltrane both of Greensboro; a sister, Faye Henley of McLeansville; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Coltrane Forte (Ryan), Kyle Coltrane, Scotty Allen, Carrie Allen, Hannah May and Haley May; and 1 great grandchild, Jaxson Forte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Friends Meeting, 5000 Old Randleman Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
