CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Beverly Anne Ceariey, 64, died peacefully at home in the presence of her family, Wednesday, July 29,1998, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She served in the U.S. Marine Corps as 1st Lt., and was presently serving as an Assistant District County Attorney, Nueces County, Texas. Her educational accomplishments include a B A from University of St. Thomas, and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law. She also attended University of Toronto. Beverly was a member
of District of Columbia Bar and The State Bar of Texas. She loved art, classical music, opera and ballet. She was an avid reader.
Survivors are her mother, Marie Wichlep Ceariey, of Houston; sons, Cameron C. Smith, Jr. and wife, Julie D. Simon of Beavercreek, Ohio, Bernard J. Smith, Tempe, Arizona, and Adrian W. Smith of Houston; daughter, Carissa Marie Smith and husband, Ted Urchel of Menlo Park, California; the children's father, Cameron W. Smith; brother, Barney W. Ceariey and wife, Janice of Georgetown, Texas; cousins, Marilyn Bakula and Bob Hempel III; 3 grandchildren, uncle and aunt, Ret. Col. Bernard J. Wichlep and Dorothy Mae.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Virginia, Beky, Ree, Margaret, Elda, Sheila, Vanessa, Berdie and James for their loving care of their mother.
Visitation was Sunday, August 2, 4-8 p.m. at Hyde Park Chapel. Funeral Services are Monday, 9 a.m., August 3,1998, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2515 Waugh Dr. at Missouri St., Pastor Kristine O. Franke Hill, officiating. Entombment to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Mausoleum.
