Edith Mary Lewis born March 12, 1929 departed this life on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden being 86-years, 9-months, and 10-days old. Edith was born at Rockhouse the daughter of the late Bertle Roberts and the late Nancy Napier Roberts. Edith was also preceded in death by her Husband, Filmore Lewis; Two Daughters, Louise Lewis and Nancy Carol Lewis; Three Sons, Donnie Lewis, James Pearl Lewis and Danny Lewis; Grandson, Aaron Nicholas Lewis; Four Brothers, Bobby Roberts, Paul Roberts, Harold Roberts and David Roberts.

Edith was a life-long resident of Leslie County, and life-long Member of the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church, and the last remaining Charter Member of the Old Rockhouse Pentecostal Church. Edith enjoyed Flowers, Gardening, going to Church and spending time with her Family.

Mrs. Edith Mary Lewis leaves the following relatives surviving: Son, Larry “Pig” Lewis & Wilma of Hyden, KY; Daughter, Betty H. Gibson & Roe of Corbin, KY; Sister, Oultie Morgan of Hyden, KY; Twelve Grandchildren, Holly Bray & Lawrence, James M. Lewis & Tiffany, Jamie Lewis & Sherry, Neal Lewis & Tiffany, Chase Lewis, Lisa Vega, Michelle Collett & Delanie, Larrisa Miller & Ritchie, Samantha Davis & Kenny, Jackie Lewis & David, Donna Lewis & Greg, and Carol Simpson & Brian; Eighteen Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edith Mary Lewis will be conducted on Sunday December 27, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church with Rev. Teddy Couch and Rev. Andrew Farmer officiating. The Interment will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery located at Hyden, Kentucky. The Visitation will be at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church on Saturday evening starting at 6:00 P.M.
