Esther Bertha Teske, age 97, formerly of 819 25th Street, Two Rivers, passed away Wednesday morning, December 23, 2015 at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center (Hamilton Care Center), Two Rivers, where she resided the last ten years. She was born March 15, 1918 in Kewaunee, daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Stuebs) Hoffman. On January 26, 1946, Esther married Harold August Teske in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1989. She was employed at Sentry Foods for 16 years until her retirement in 1981. Esther was the first Miss Kewaunee and still is considered the reigning queen.Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Diann (Stuart) Smith, McKinney, Texas and Karen Teske-Osborne, Waunakee, Wisconsin; three grandchildren: Robyn (Walter) Le Maire, Ryan (Meaghen) Smith, and Alison (Stephen) Prince; and three step grandchildren: Dan Osborne, Jeffrey Osborne (Janet Davis), Ellyn (Daniel) Mohs; eight great-grandchildren: Avery and Shelby Le Maire, Eli Prince, Aleks Osborne, Zachary and Andrea Osborne, Tommy and Camille Mohs. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Esther is further preceded in death by two sisters: Olivia Hoffman and Ruth Behling; and her brother: Randolph Hoffman.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. David Arndt with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Church, Two Rivers, on Monday, December 28, 2015.
