Father: John Tufts d. 10 Sep 1839 Charlestown
Mother: Elizabeth Perry d. 9 Jan 1844 Somerville (formerly Charlestown)

Note: Susan was a direct burial at Beech Ave at Mount Auburn, Cambridge, with their son, Benjamin Allan Tufts.

The only cemetery at the time of Benj Sr's death was at Phipp's Burying Ground. There were incomplete records at this cemetery, other than the orig tomb owners and their immediate family. And there were problems with the tombs becoming too full; many with re-interments into other cemeteries. So when Joseph Jr had re-interred his son into Mount Auburn, I thought this Benjamin had been re-interred as well. I had a question about this and lost my list to re-check this burial. This was my mistake and I apologize to the families. And I am no longer able to ascertain his burial records.

A possibility of burial would be Milk Row, Somerville. This cemetery was founded in 1804 by Samuel Tufts on farmland that was once part of Charlestown. James Tufts, the brother of Benjamin was interred at Somerville when he passed 1861 at Somerville (formerly Charlestown). Benjamin's grandparents, Peter & Anne (Adams) Tufts are interred at Phipp's Burying Ground, Charlestown; and, there is a tomb there. Leonard Tufts, another brother of Benjamin's, d. 1851 and was interred at Phipp's.

Benjamin Allan Tufts' (b. 1811) birth info was found at "Gregory Stone Genealogy: Ancestry and Descendants of Dea. Gregory Stone of Cambridge, Mass., 1320-1917", by Joseph Gardner Bartlett, pg 326.
