Mr. Smith was born on December 9, 1921 in Banks County, Georgia to the late William J. and Lucy Smith. He was also preceded in death by 4 sisters, 3 brothers, and Foster parents, Emory and Minnie Brady Lawrence. Mr. Smith was a member and a deacon of the Camp Creek Baptist Church, as well as the official church greeter for a number of years. He was a United States Army World War II veteran and was a retired employee of Ethicon with 40 years of service. Mr. Smith was currently employed with Quality Foods.
