Kelly Stacy, age 84 of Elwood, died May 17, 2004 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood after an extended illness. He was born March 2, 1920 in Lacky, Kentucky. He worked for Stevens Spring Company in Elwood for 21 years, and later worked at Airfoil Textron in Elwood for 10 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII. He was a member of the Elwood V.F.W. post 5782 and the Elwood Moose Lodge.
Survivors include - Wife: Dessie Lee (Kennedy) Stacy of Elwood. Daughter: Ellarie and husband Larry Hughes of Elwood. Son: Kelly Shawn Stacy of Elwood. 2 Stepsons: Marcus and wife Janet Stacy of Elwood, and Gordon and wife Zegrid Hall of St. Louis, MO. Brother: Rob Stacy of LaPorte. 3 Grandchildren: Laura Croy of Elwood, Linda Roan of Tipton, and Brandon Stacy of Elwood. 3 Step-grandchildren: Douglas Hall of Washington – D.C., Diana Hall of Wentzville, MO, and Carol Mund of Kokomo. 3 Great Granddaughters: Casey Laub of Elwood, Lauren Roan of Tipton, and Carley Croy of Elwood. One Step Great Grandson: Skyler Wisemiller of Kokomo. He was preceded in death by - Parents: Will and Nancy (Fugate) Stacy. 4 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
Cremation will take place and a private burial of his ashes will take place at a later date.
