Dolores Stankovich North Huntingdon Dolores Stankovich, 71, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, due to cancer at Cantabury Place, Pittsburgh. She was born April 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Luke and Mara Stankovich. Dolores was a graduate of Duquesne High School, class of 1959, afterwards attended evening school on dressmaking and millenary. She enjoyed dressmaking as a hobby and in her later years, she enjoyed life as a world traveler. Dolores retired as a secretary in Procurement for PPG Industries for 32 years, from 1968 to 2000. She was previously employed by Crucible Steel, Pittsburgh Headquarters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Melva. She is survived by sisters, Bess Snyder, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Nellie Jones, of Pittsburgh; brothers, George, of Golden Valley, Ariz., and Luke, of North Huntingdon; nephew, Eric Jones and family, of Broken Arrow, Okla. We would like to thank Family Hospice Pallitive Care and Cantabury Place for the wonderful care she received. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Father Stephen Rocknage officiating, followed interment in Irwin Union Cemetery.
