Gotthilf Bernhard Heisinger, son of Johann Benedict and Johanna Sophia (Weber) Heisinger was born at Nicolaistrasse Nr. 526 in Leipzig and baptized at Nikolaikirche 16 February 1812. He died at Fleischerplaz Nr. 5, Leipzig aged 46 and buried there 26 March 1858. He was raised at Nr. 568 and lived at various places between 1832 and 1835 in Vienna. Besides 1832, the date of 1 August 1833 is noted as another return to Vienna. In October 1834, both he and his brother Julius return to Leipzig at the time of their father's last illness and death. Gotthilf Bernhard became a citizen of Leipzig on 23 November 1835 and took over the business of his father. He is listed as a merchant and store clerk at Schumachergasschen Nr. 568.
Gotthilf Gernhard Heisinger married Auguste Pauline Hohmann at the Reformed Church in Leipzig, 24 May 1838.
Bernhard Heisinger is also listed as a merchant at Fleischerplaz Nr. 985, the address where his father-in-law died in 1853. During the 1840s, Bernhard is listed as a merchant at Grimmaische Strasse Nr. 27, carrying on the business of his step-father. This was a few doors from his mother and step-father at Nr. 22, and Bernhard is listed as living at Fleischerplaz Nr. 5, where he died in 1858.
Though not buried in the church, his baptism took place there and the Heisinger family, living just a block away, attended services there.
