Samuel Weidenhammer, aged 65 years, 5 months, 25 days, died suddenly at 3:40 Thursday evening of paralysis of the heart, at the home of his son, Howard L. Weidenhammer, residing along Stony Creek Road above St. Lawrence. Deceased had spent a day working in the oats field of his son and after eating a hearty supper sat down in a rocking chair and conversed with a visitor. A short time after the visitor left Mr. Weidenhammer fell back in his chair and breathed his last a few minutes later without having left the chair. During last winter deceased suffered a stroke but he had apparently recovered from it. Apparently Mr. Weidenhammer was in good health of late. He had always expressed a desire to die suddenly and not linger with illness. Deceased was a native of Richmond Township the son of Jacob and Rebecca Weidenhammer, both deceased. His wife preceded him in death a number of years. He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Congregation and Camp 68 P.O.S. of A., Hyde Park.
