Rites in Maryneal for Mrs. Wilkins

Roscoe - Funeral for Mrs. Ada Wilkins, 89, a resident of Nolan County since 1900, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Maryneal Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wilkins died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in a Dallas hospital.

The Rev. Jimmy Kinsey of Sweetwater will officiate, assisted by Rev. C.A. Sanders of Roscoe. Burial is to be in Maryneal Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home in Roscoe.

Mrs. Wilkins was born April 13, 1877 in Paris, Texas, and married R.N. Wilkins there. They moved to Maryneal in 1900 and to Roscoe in 1942. Mr. Wilkins died in 1950.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Fred Clayton and Mrs. A.L. Strey, both of Sweetwater, and Mrs. George Linden and Mrs. Ludie Parks, both of Dallas; two sons, M.H. of Brownwood and Everett of Forsan; a sister, Mrs. W.D. Hardin of Lovington, N.M.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
