LOCKHART - Edith Brown Horne, 69, of 322 S. 4th St. died Sept. 11, 1998, in Wallace Thomson Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Chester, she was the widow of J.D. Horne and daughter of the late R.L. and Bertha Wilson Brown. She was a member of Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church and had retired from Springs Mill in Chester.
Surviving are three sisters, Helen Rector of Columbia, Ruth Wyatt of Spartanburg and Nellie Thomason of Union; a nephew reared in the home, Jerry McDonald of Union.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lockhart Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Paul Childers and Calvin Smith. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
The family is at the home.
