SEYMOUR, KATE B. - Funeral for Miss Kate B. Seymour, 74, of 1714 Verde St., who died Monday will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Funeral Home with interment following in the Masonic plot in Union Cemetery.

The Rev. Ralph Cox will officiate, Miss Seymour, a retired registered nurse., has resided here the past 15 years. She was born in Marquette, Mich., Dec. 1 1874. She came to Bakersfield from Chicago, Ill., in 1922 and worked at Kern General Hospital until 1926 when she moved to Long Beach. Nursing there until 1937, she returned to Bakersfield and retired.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a member of Carlyle Chapter. OES, and a alumna of St. Luke's Training School of Nurses in Chicago, Ill.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Alice Schuler, of Bakersfield; a niece, Paula Havens of San Carlos; and several nephews and nieces. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul's Church or to favorite charities. Pallbearers will be Charles e. Wakefield, S. B. Gill, Robert Dickson, Richard Williams, Henry McCullen, and Harold Mumford.
