FARMER DIES AT AGE OF 51
George Anderson, Town of Liberty Passes Saturday
George C. Anderson, 51, Town of Liberty farmer, died at 8 o’clock Saturday
night at Holy Family Hospital where he had been confined for 10 days. He had
been suffering from rheumatism for several years.
Mr. Anderson was born March 5, 1885 on the homestead one mile south of
Valders where he resided all his life. He married Lillian Skattebo in 1915. The
widow, one daughter, Helen, at home and one sister, Mrs. Tom Alfstad, also of
the Town of Liberty survive.
The body was removed to the residence from the Berge funeral home late this
afternoon. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the residence and at
2 o’clock at the Valders West Lutheran Church. The Rev. E.A. Fretheim will
officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
