Helen G. Schwarz, age 88, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 2414 Wilson Street, Two Rivers, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the North Ridge Center, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. William Kilps will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan.
Helen was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Valders, the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Skattebo) Anderson. She attended school in Valders.
On Feb. 16, 1957, she married William H. Schwarz in Illinois. Together the couple owned and operated the Schwarz Marine Co. of Two Rivers, a boat building business, until their retirement. Helen also worked for a number of years at the Heresite Chemical Co. in Manitowoc. She also enjoyed bowling in her spare time.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Mary Jane and Leroy Duveneck, Manitowoc; one daughter-in-law: Eilene Schwarz; four grandchildren: Debra (James) Kuehnl, Diane Fogltanz, Donna (Steve) Dueno, and Cheryl (Thomas) Tisbury; five great-grandchildren: Jesse, Jaime, Adam, Christopher and Cory; one great-great-grandchild, Megan; and six step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: William on June 24, 2001; three stepsons; one stepdaughter-in-law; and one great-great-grandson.
Relatives and friends may call at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, after 9:30 a.m. on Monday until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers is assisting the Schwarz family with funeral arrangements.
