Lawrence Albert Carlton 85 of Oark passed away Thursday December 31, 2015 in Lamar.

He was born October 25, 1930 in Fallsville, Arkansas to Columbus and Cleo Neal Carlton.

He was a member of Moon Hull Full Gospel Church where he used to pastor. He loved working with wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters, and eight brothers.

He is survived by his wife Verlerne Harderson Carlton of the home, two sons Lawrence Carlton Jr and wife Beverly of Deer and Veston Edgeman and wife Paula of Oark; Five daughters Cindy Caldwell and husband Larry of Salius, Renea Gilmore and Husband Dennis of Pelsor, Carmel Davis and husband Tommy of Deer, Kay Adams and husband Jeff of Pelsor and Beverly Holt and husband Jeff of Clarksville; three brothers; George Carlton and wife Francis of Ozone, Franklin Carlton and wife Jana of Ozone, and Benny Carlton and wife Martha of Clarksville; one sister Barbara Thomas of Tennessee; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. He will be missed by many who loved him.

Visitation will be Monday January 4, 2016 at 6pm till 8pm at Clarksville Funeral Home Chapel 510 West Cherry Street.

Funeral service will be Tuesday January 5, 2016 10am at Moon Hull Full Gospel Church with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Case Cemetery in Fallsville.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lawrence Carlton Memorial Fund in care of Clarksville Funeral Home.
