Wilma Denton Cross, age 76, of Bristol, VA went to be with the Lord after losing her battle with cancer Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eula Smith Denton and her sister, Peggy Denton.
She was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church for over 40 years and was the secretary and treasurer. She retired from Regions Bank after 42 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Conley Cross; one daughter, Angela Smallwood and husband, Tony of Bristol, VA; three sisters, Gaye Newmarch of Calf; Betty Shaffer and Judy Lingerfelt, both of Bristol, VA; four brothers, John Denton and wife, Jean; Lonnie Denton and wife, Pam; David Denton and wife, Donna and Jeff Denton, all of Bristol, VA; one grandchild, Andrew Smallwood of Mt. Juliet, TN and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a very special thanks to her family and friends during her illness and to Caris Home Health and to T.J. McCracken.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Roger Ball and Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating.
