Henry Wyatt, pioneer resident of Casper, died early Saturday morning at a local hospital following an attack of pneumonia. He had been ill about ten days.
Mr. Wyatt was a native of Illinois. He came to Casper from Olney, IL, 28 years ago to engage in the sheep business. He was manager of the Wyatt Sheep Company, which has large holdings in Natrona county. During his residence in Casper, Mr. Wyatt operated several apartment houses and has many real estate holdings. He built the Wyatt Hotel, 120 North Center Street, in 1919 and operated it since that time. A few years ago, he built the Wyatt Filling Station on West Yellowstone Avenue which he disposed of about a year ago. He was also engaged in a paving construction business in Casper. His company is now engaged in a paving contract in Texas. He owned a sheep ranch located about 11 miles south of Powder River.
A brother, a sister, and five children survive: George Wyatt, a brother; Mrs. John (Cora Bell) Legan, a sister; children - Mrs. Harry (Hattie) Atwater, Los Angeles, CA; Evelyn Wyatt, Zella Wyatt, Herbert Wyatt, Casper; and Donald Wyatt, Los Angeles. A brother-in-law, William Lester, Sr. and two nephews, Clinton and William Lester, Jr., also survive.
