     William Britton, Lace Weaver, Dies
    William Britton, 74, a resident of the North end section of the city for 33 years, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Smithkors, 350 Madison Street, after several weeks illness.
    Mr. Britton was well known in the city and leaves a wide circle of friends throughout the valley. He had been employed as a lace weaver at the Union Street Lace Mills for more than 30 years. During his residence in Wilkes-Barre he was a member of Derr Memorial Church.
    Surviving him are a son, Enoch Britton, Decatur, Ill., who was with his father when he died, and three daughters, Mrs. Herbert Walton, Mrs. Warren Ohlman and Mrs. Smithkors all of Wilkes-Barre.
    The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the home of his, daughter, Mrs. Smithkors, with services in charge of the Rev. Thomas G. Swales of Derr Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial Will be in the family plot in Denison cemetery.
