A Memorial Service for Oweta Louise Caviness of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend David Johnson officiating.

Oweta passed away January 12, 2016, in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born May 15, 1925, in Oklahoma, the daughter of Earl and Jewel Hill Youngman. She married James Caviness in 1948, at Fort Smith, Arkansas and worked as a registered nurse. Oweta lived in Lakeview since 1986, moving from Haskell, Arkansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, needlework and was an avid reader.

Oweta is survived by her children, Linda Caviness of Lakeview, AR, Allan (Jan) Caviness of Irving, TX and Patricia Caviness of Lakeview, AR; three grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Poche of Naples, FL, Jonathan (Kimberly) Caviness of Joshua, TX and Amber Russell; brother, Loyd (Janice) Youngman of Ozark, AR; sister, Sarah (Henry) Hawkins of Springdale, AR; sister-in-law, Jean Youngman of Russelville, AR and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, John and Robert Youngman and sisters, Betty Julian and Lena Wolfe.

The family wishes to say thank you to Tracy and all the other angels at Hospice of the Ozarks.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Christ Community Church.
