Two seniors and a former student died after the roof of a 2000 Nissan Maxima was nearly peeled off as the car slid under a semi-tractor trailer as it was turning on a winding and well-traveled Remington Boulevard. After crashing into the trailer, the car hit a tree and stopped in the parkway on the north side of Remington Boulevard.

A passerby, who reported driving upon the scene seconds after the accident, found the two passengers--Javier Moraira, 18, and Nayeli Murillo, 18--in the vehicle, clearly dead, and driver Luis Vega, 18, thrown eight to 10 feet from the car, fading fast. The teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene from blunt head trauma.

They were westbound on Remington Boulevard at about 2 p.m. 9/11/06 when a semi began turning left onto eastbound Remington from Quadrangle Drive in Bolingbrook, IL.

The students were on their way to the high school, returning from the Wilco career training center in Lockport.

Picture with flowers is of crash site with unknown friends.

Visitation for Nayeli Murillo will be from 3 to 9 p.m. 9/13 at Gibbons Funeral Home in Elmhurst with a funeral service Thursday morning 9/14.
