January 17, 2016 Sherrill A. Sanders, 61, Juniata, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness. She was born in Juniata, daughter of Eugene and the late Janet (Irvin) Montgomery. She married Danny R.Sanders on March 16, 1974.

Sherrill is survived by her father; her husband; two sons: Jason Eugene and Jeffrey Ray (Keri), all of Altoona; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Seidel (Thomas) of Altoona; five grandchildren: Francesca, Dylan, Gage, Grant and Garrett; a brother, Eugene G. (Denise) Montgomery II of Cleona; and a close cousin, Wendy Smouse of Bellwood.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Sherrill was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She was employed as a special education teacher's aide with the Altoona Area School District.
Sherrill enjoyed gardening, reading, antiques, genealogy, spending time with her grandchildren and helping others in need.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, and from noon until the 2 p.m. service Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016, at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
