Eunice Levie, 92, formerly of Trenton, died on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.
Born in New York on Aug. 25, 1923 to Reuben and Sonia Moskowitz and raised in Baltimore, Eunice moved to Trenton when she was a senior in high school. A graduate of the Berte Institute in Philadelphia, where she majored in design and illustration, she enjoyed a long career in advertising and public relations, including serving as president of her own advertising and public relations firm.

Active in a long list of civic and service organizations, Eunice's community service began when, as a young mother, she led a study for the Jewish Community Center that culminated in the establishment of the first local, state-approved nursery school in the area. At the same time, she became active in the original Greenwood House, and continued her service there, serving on the board of directors for more than 25 years. In addition, she served on the board of directors for the USO, Jewish Community Center, Har Sinai Temple, and the Jewish Family Service. Eunice's longtime passion for volunteerism and community activism led her to work on a variety of projects, from bringing professional children's theater to Trenton to planning and executing the Centennial Ball celebration of Har Sinai Temple.

In 1950, Eunice was named "Woman of the Year" by the Rotary Club. In addition to the above organizations, Eunice served as a board or committee member for the Better Business Bureau, Zonta, West Ward Community Partnership Corp., and Trenton Roebling Community Development. An incredible cook and hostess, Eunice enjoyed as much art, theater, and music as she could find time for, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Reuben and Sonia Moskowitz; her husband, Edward "Mor" Levie; her brother, Gilbert Marshall, and son-in-law, Alvan Siegel. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother, ; her children, ; grandchildren, ; great-grandchildren, ; sister-in-law, , and scores of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to may be made to Greenwood House, Crossroads Hospice, the Residents' Fund at Attleboro or Har Sinai Temple.
