Mrs. Bailey passed away peacefully at Genesis Medical Center-East Rusholme Street, Davenport, on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. She was born in 1921 in Muscatine, the daughter of Charles and Bertha Dickinson. She married Ralph R. Bailey on Dec. 30, 1947, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on June 29, 2006.
Margie worked with her husband, Ralph, at the Bailey Office Appliance Co. She later worked as a clerk for the Corps of Engineers. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, and its Deo Jurante Circle; the Davenport Women’s Club; Northwest Turners Liedertofel; and the Genesis Hospital Auxiliary. Margie enjoyed many vacation bus trips, playing cards, cooking and her cats.
Survivors include nieces, Mary Dickinson, Nancy Nagle, Dianne Dahltorp and Peggy Fortner, and nephew, Alan Dickinson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, three nieces and one nephew.
