Funeral services for JC Bell, 92, of Pennington will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Perkins and Bro. Scott Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 12:30 until service time.
Mr. Bell passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at his residence. He was a retired Millwright having retired in 1988 from James River Corporation in Pennington. He was also a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Inez Barnett Bell of Pennington, AL; son James Bell of Pennington, AL; daughters Gloria Bell Dean (Gayle) of Crossett, AR; Wanda Bell Busby (C.H.) of Needham, AL; Marsha Bell Sheffield of Meridian, MS; and Becky Bell Wheeler (Ronnie) of Crossett, AR; honorary daughter Roberta Perry Durbin (George) of Katy, TX; brother Ray Bell (Billie) of Florence, MS; sister Robbie Lee Brooks of Beekman, LA; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack A. Bell and Hattie Mae Russell Bell; son-in-law Wayne Sheffield; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Pallbearers are Russ Deal, Matt Deal, Scott Wheeler, Justin Wheeler, Tim Sheffield, James Daniel Sheffield, and Dakota Commalander. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
