Mrs. Emma Herron - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Emma Herron at the Bundy funeral home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Morris Skinner. Burial will be made in the rural cemetery. Mrs. Herron died suddenly of a heart attack. Monday night, August 15, 1938. She was born here August 21, 1866, the daughter of George and Charity Race Van Valkenburg, She is survived by six sons, Lester, Ralph, Walter, Nelson, Carl and Louis; one brother, William Van Valkenburg, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Emma Herron - Mrs. Emma Herron, about 75, widow of the late Roy Herron, died of a heart attack at the home of her son, Carl Herron. on Elm street, late Monday afternoon. She is survived by five other sons, Lester, Walter, Nelson. Ralph and Louis. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. SCHENECTADY GAZETTE, WEDNESDAY MORNING, AUGUST 17, 1938
Attend Herron Funeral - Mr. and Mrs. Lester Herron, accompanied by Miss Bernice Haig, Fonda, who have been on a motor trip to New York and Atlantic City, N. J., returned home Thursday evening. Yesterday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Herron attended the funeral of the former's mother, Mrs. Roy Herron, held at her late home in Cobleskill at 2 o'clock, standard time. Mrs. Herron died suddenly Monday, and as neither family nor friends were able to locate the party, Mr. Herron did not know of his mother's death until his return Thursday evening.
