Emogene Ragan Arnold, 87, Sherwood Drive, died at 4:07 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, at her home of natural causes.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville with the Rev. Paige Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Emogene was born March 5, 1928, daughter of the late Serena Ragan. In 1947, she married her love, Max Arnold, founder of Max Arnold & Sons. As the business grew, Emogene and her family moved from Auburn to Russellville and then in 1967, established their home and business in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. It was here that she became active in the community and raised her children. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also active in the Thursday Luncheon Book Club and she was an Emeritus member of the Town and Country Garden Club.
Her husband, Max Arnold and her mother and father, Serena and Max Ragan preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann (Phil) Russo, Madisonville, Ky; and her sons, Gregg (Nancy) Arnold, New Orleans, La; Randy (Judy) Arnold, and Bob (Suzanne) Arnold, both of Hopkinsville. She was also affectionately known as “Gigi” by her six grandchildren; Serena Arnold, Jaye Russo, Tommy Arnold, Max Arnold, Rob Arnold and Annie Arnold; and three great-grandchildren; Avery Russo, Emelia Russo and Emma Arnold.
