She was inspired by Christ to join Elem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was united in marriage to Samuel B. Green in 1952; out of this union, six children were born.
Adeline was a loving mother who took pride in being a great homemaker. She was recognized by her family, as the best homemade biscuit maker in all of Dorchester County. She used her God-given gift to serve and help others in her professional career as a Caregiver.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Frank, Wilson, Bennie, Will, and Sam Lee and two sisters, Mamie and Rena.
She leaves to cherish her legacy of Love: four daughters, Doris Williams (Earl) of Summerville, SC, Linda Oliver (James) of Raleigh, NC, Betty (Richard) Wright of Moncks Corner, SC, and Mary Green (Craig) of St. George, SC; two sons, Samuel (Cynthia) Green Jr. of Greensboro, NC and Joe (Patricia) Green of Greenville, SC; three sisters: Janie (Kizer) Zeigler of Harleyville SC, Gracie Wamer of Brooklyn NY, and Ruth James of Dorchester, SC; six sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved family and friends. *************************
