LEWIS DAWSON MILLER, 70, died at his home at Mapleville, Tuesday. He was a son of the late Charles and Sarah Derr Miller of Middletown.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Lutheran Church at Middletown.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Betty Moser Miller; and six children: Mrs. Roy J. Thompson, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Victor Thompson, Simpsonville; Mrs. Lafie Wolfe, Myersville; Mrs. Lawrence Cutsail, Frederick; Roscoe Miller, Boonsboro; Paul K. Miller, Jefferson; 39 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters: William Miller, Altoona; Oscar Miller, Burkittsville; Mrs. Albert Gilbert, Downsville; Mrs. Ira Huffer, Frederick; Miss Sarah Miller, Dayton, Oh.; Miss Edna Miller, Washington; Mrs. Everrts Reegle, Louisiana.

Funeral services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro; interment in the Lutheran Cemetery, (Obituary says Boonsboro).
