Mrs. MARY OLEVIA GILBERT, 85, formerly of Sharpsburg, died Thursday, Jan. 8. at the Avalon Manor Nursing Home, Hagerstown. She was born in Middletown, Feb. 9, 1895, and was predeceased by the husband, Albert William Gilbert.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, and was a retired employee of Hood College.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gladys O. Morgan, Ellicott City; two sons, Charles W. Gilbert and Donald C. Gilbert, both of Hagerstown; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Sarah B. Miller, Dayton, Oh.; and Mrs. Viola riegel, Shrevesport, La.
Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro; interment in Middletown Lutheran Cemetery.
