PIONEER OF ELWOOD DIED THIS MORNING
Mrs. Addie Lyst Passed Away at Home of Her Daughter.
Mrs. Addie Lyst, age about 65, one of the pioneer residents of Elwood and widely known here, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Knight, 1521 Taber Street, Indianapolis, following an extended illness. The remains will be brought to Elwood tomorrow in charge of Undertaker Edgar Clark and will be removed to the home of Mrs. Jane DeHority, sister of the deceased, 1629 Main street, where they will remain until the hour for the funeral which has not yet been announced.
The deceased was one of the early residents of this community. She was of the sturdy type of the pioneer mother, and a splendid woman, loved and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Nellie Knight and William Lyst, of Indianapolis, a sister, Mrs. Jane DeHority, of this city, one brother Roy Hanna, of Washington, D. C., and another brother, John, who is living in the west and who has not yet been located.

Mrs. Addie Lyst who died at the home of her daughter in Indianapolis, arrived today and were taken to the home of Mrs. Jane DeHority, a sister of the deceased, residing at 1620 Main street. Friends are asked to call there to pay their respects. The funeral will be held at the Christian church tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Robert Sellers in charge and interment will follow in the Elwood cemetery.

Here After Long Absence - Roy Hannah, of Washington, D. C, who was called here by the death of his sister, Mrs. Addie Lyst, is in Elwood for the first time in twenty-one years. He expressed himself as greatly surprised and more than delighted at the progress that has been made here in the past score of years and he says that he has seen few cities of the size in the east which show up better than Elwood.
