HENRY LYST DEAD
His Death Occurred Yesterday Afternoon at
the Soldiers' Home.
The sad news of the death of Henry C. Lyst reached here yesterday evening. He passed away at 2 p.m. yesterday at the soldiers' home in Marion. The remains will be taken to the home of his son-in-law, Clarence Knight, 2510 South H street.
The funeral will occur from the residence at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, and interment will take place in the city cemetry.
Henry Lyst was a brave, true, and loyal soldier and served his country in Company G, Seventy-fifth regiment, Indiana voluteers. He was widely known in and around Elwood as a big hearted fellow who had a host of friends.
The deceased leaves a wife and also three children. He was 59 years of age at the time of his death. The bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends and acquaintances. (Elwood Daily Record, September 16, 1905.)
