following an eight week illness.
Born in Jasper County Oct. 1,
1890, he was the son of David and
Sarah Frantz Long. His marriage
Nov. 30, 1911, was to Orpha
Eunice Beeghley.
A retired farmer, he was a member of the
Northfork Old Baptist Church.
Surviving with the widow are
two sons, Chester and Daniel
Long of Rt. 1, Rossville; three
daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ellen Flory
of Baldwin, Kan.; Mrs. Mary
Elizabeth Jessup of Indianapolis,
and Mrs. Virginia Bellah of Rt. 1,
Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Mary
Reavis of Rt. 1, Rossville; two
brothers, Charles Long of
Rossville and Bernice Long of
Pendleton; 17 grandchildren and
28 great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday afternoon
at Northfork Old Baptist
Church with home brethren
ministers in charge. Burial was
in the church cemetery.
