Sandra L. Showalter, 62, of Danvers, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013, of cancer at her home in Danvers, surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 6, at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held later this summer in Hazen, North Dakota. Burial will be in Nisbet Cemetery, rural Hazen, North Dakota.

Sandra Lee Showalter was born June 19, 1950, in Hazen, North Dakota, the daughter of David and Ruby (Wing) Jensen. She attended Spring Brook Elementary in Oliver County and graduated from Hazen High School in 1968. She attended College in Minot. She married Gerald William Sandstrom Sr., on May 25, 1974. They were the parents of two children, Gerald Willard Sandstrom Jr., and Aurora Lee (Sandstrom) Whittet. She married Bradley Dean Showalter on August 28, 2001. She operated the Cloverleaf Supper Club in Benson, Minnesota for 12 years. She traveled with Bradley all over the United States as he built wind turbines. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, gardening, antiques stores, rummage sales, reading and bird watching. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Bradley of Danvers, MN; one daughter, Aurora (Brian) Whittet of St. Louis Park, MN; one son, Gerald Sandstrom Jr., of Benson, MN; two step-daughters, Megan Showalter of Danvers, MN and Lisa (Scott) Tingelhoff of Bennington, NE; two step-sons, Jared (Tammy) Showalter of Hibbing, MN, and Garrit Showalter of Danvers, MN; three grandchildren, Kylee Boettcher, Michael Schafer and Henry Whittet; her father, David Jensen of Hazen; one sister, Leila Kishta of Chicago, IL; and one brother, Richard (Donna) Jensen.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother-in-law, Mohammed Kishta and one nephew, Peter Jensen.
