Emigrated as a young woman, then married Elmer 25 October 1915 in Lake County IN. They lived in Gary while he worked on the oar docks. Their two sons were born prior to the move to Wisconsin which took place in the early 1920s. Three girls joined the family before the end of the decade. Sadly, their oldest boy died in 1924.
