E. L. Standefer, 80, Retired Mining Man, Dies at Home Here

Erie L. Standefer, 80-year-old retired mining operator, died at his home, 511 F Street northeast, early today. Mr. Standefer and four of his brothers, who have since died, were engaged in the mining business in this district during the early days of the Tri-State field's development.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary F. Standefer; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Redhage of Miami; a son, Joe Standefer of Baxter Springs, and a granddaughter, Miss Leota Redhage of Miami.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cooper chapel. The Rev. T. W. Medearis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Bradley, Lisle Torbert, Arthur Wright, D. S. Jackson, Luther Wright and A. L. Biggley.

Burial will be in G. A. R. cemetery under direction of the Cooper Funeral home.
