William was the son of Erie Standifer [b. Mar 1817, TN; d. 4 Apr 1902 in Franklin Co., MO] and his wife Harriet Brewer (daughter of Thomas Brewer). They were married 31 Oct 1847, Franklin Co., MO. Erie is buried at Bethel Baptist church cemetery. Harriet is probably buried either there or here in the Brewer cemetery with her father, at least two brothers, and son William.

William was working at the lead mine in 1880:

Eliza then remarried 4 Jan 1888 to Melvin Stiles Crow. She died in 1942 and both she and Clarence are buried in the Anaconda Cemetery.

William's brother Erie L. Standifer married Mary F. Meredith, daughter of Thomas D. Meredith and his wife Mary Elizabeth Hale. They moved to Oklahoma.
