Charles F. Clemens, 56, died last evening [Jan. 20] at his home, 51 Washington street. Mr. Clemens moved to Rensselaer from Hudson 16 years ago. For several years he had the contract of transporting the mail from Rensselaer post-office to the railroad. He is survived by his wife and sons, Michael, Charles, James and Paul, and one daughter, Miss Mary Clemens, all of Rensselaer. The funeral will be held Monday [Jan. 24] from St. John's church. D. W. Ryan & Sons have charge.
