Graveside services for Mr. Milton Adams, age 93 of Tyler, are scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler with Dr. Paul Powell officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty funeral directors in Lindale. Mr. Adams died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Hospice of East Texas Home Place in Tyler. He was born in the New Harmony Community on July 11, 1922 to the late Carl Bryan and Attis Mae (Allen) Adams and was a lifelong resident of the Tyler and New Harmony Community area. Mr. Adams served in the United States Army Air Corps as a 2nd Lt. during WWII. He was a pilot of a B-24 Liberator (an American heavy bomber) in the 15th Air Force. He served from 1942 to 1945 and flew missions from Italy over Germany and Austria. Mr. Adams retired from Tyler Pipe Industries as their Internal Auditing Manager after 22 years. He was also a longtime member of the Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Gimble Adams on August 8, 2010; 3 brothers, Taul Bryan, Lloyd and C.D. Adams; and sister, Frances Phillips. He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Carol Ann Adams of Tyler; Charles and Janet Adams of Keller; and Danny and Sandy Adams of Tyler; 5 grandchildren, Rob Adams and wife, Margaret of Carrolton; Krista Wallace and husband, Chad of Tyler; Rachelle Schumacher and husband, Matt of Ft. Worth; Chris Adams of Dallas; Josh Adams of Houston; and Ross Adams of Round Rock; 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Rob Adams, Chad Wallace, Matt Schumacher, Chris Adams, Josh Adams, and Ross Adams. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of East Texas, Christian Women's Job Corps of Tyler or the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
