Ger. Kerk, waarvan Anna lid was, het stoffelijk overschot grafwaarts gebracht.

Alton Democrat of August 25, 1906
From our Orange City correspondent.

On Friday of last week Miss Anna Jansen aged thirty one succumbed of intestinal ailment of two years standing. The case was never considered serious until the last day of her life. In the morning she arose as usual and entered upon the household duties in the family of Dr. and Ms. DeBey but after a short time she had to return to he room feeling very much indisposed. When the doctor came home at noon he found her condition already critical.

After a few hours he called in consultation Dr. De Lespinasse and although both physicians did for the girl what ever thy could it soon appeared that there was no hope left and the patient died at eleven o’clock in the evening. Miss Anna is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. (Wynand) Jansen and the whole community sympathizes with the bereaved parents. The deceased had a large circle of friends and as a member of the Christian Reformed church of this city was held in high esteem by all who knew her. The funeral occurred on Monday morning an dto a very large audience Rev. Van Dellen preached a sermon suitable for the occasion.

(Anna was born 16 May 1875 IA died 17 May 1906 buried Orange City. Her parents were Wynand Jansen born 27 Jul 1840 died 26 Nov 1914 Orange City and Engelina born 20 Jan 1848 died 20 Aug 1907 Orange City. They came to the USA about 1873. The 1900 census stated the parents were born in Netherlands (most likely place) but the 1910 census stated born in Germany.)
