He was born November 18, 1941 in Beardstown to William and Betty (Smith) Lemon. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela (Kenny) Bee and Ashley (Randal) Hook; one son, Troy (Terrie) Lemon; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Claire, Cory, Kenny, Tyler, Holly and Mia; five great-grandchildren and one sister, LeAnn Vogel.
Butch had served in the United States Army in Korea. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1869 and the Pekin Family Moose Center #916.
He had worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 1995.
Butch was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation. Private inurnment will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
