There will be no viewing. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Grove was born July 26, 1922 in the Hametown area of Shrewsbury Township and was a daughter of the late Paul S. and Ethel K. (Seitz) Seitz.
She graduated from Glen Rock High School in the Class of 1939 and went on to graduate from Thompson Business School, York, in 1941. She retired in 1977 from the former A.M.F. Union Machine Division, Glen Rock, where she was an office clerk for 12 years.
She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Glen Rock, where she was an Accompanist for the Children's Sunday School and was active with the United Methodist Church Women. Gene also volunteered for over 30 years at the Arthur H. Hufnagle Public Library in Glen Rock.
Besides her husband, she also leaves a daughter, Roberta G. Thoman of Glen Rock; a son, Steven C. Grove of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Ann Hines and her husband, Tony of Fairfax, Va., and Matthew Thoman and Rike Rabl of Arlington, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Colin and Keller Hines, and Leah and Samuel Thoman; and a brother Robert M. Seitz of Glen Rock.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1 New Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327
