Robert M. Seitz, 92, of Glen Rock, died Tuesday September 26, 2017 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Shrewsbury. He was the husband of the late Nancy F. (Stambaugh) Seitz. Following cremation, a visitation, for family and friends to share their memories, will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday October 1, 2017 at Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. Burial with be private at the convenience of the family. Mr. Seitz was born on April 29, 1925 in Glen Rock, a son of the late Paul S. and Ethel K. (Seitz) Seitz. He graduated from Glen Rock High School Class of 1943 and served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from People's Bank of Glen Rock in 1982, where he was the Vice President and Manager of the Glen Rock Office for over 41 years. Bob was a member of Trinity UCC, Glen Rock, the New Freedom VFW Post 7012, and the Austin L. Grove American Legion Post 403, where he served as the treasurer for many years. He was a charter member of the Bon Air Country Club, where he had the first hole in one in the history of the club on the #2 hole on the front 9. He enjoyed flounder fishing at Chincoteague and made excellent steamed crabs. He leaves three sons, Jac A. Seitz and his wife Diane of Glen Rock, Jon R. Seitz and his wife Diane of Glen Rock, and Jim E. Seitz of Pocomoke City, MD; six grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Gene S. Grove.
