Actress, Singer. She was born in Rosario, Argentina. She is one of the most prolific actresses of argentinian stage and screen in a career that spanned more than 60 years. At a young age, she debuted on stage, working with the prestigious actor Narciso Ibáñez Menta and triumphed as a tango and milonga singer in musical revues. Soon, she entered in cinema, and worked along with Carlos Gardel in the film "Luces de Buenos Aires" (1931). Her versatility allowed her to play both comedic and dramatic roles. Among her credits "Consejo de Tango" (1932), "Riachuelo" (1934), "Cuando Canta el Corazón" (1941), "Pampa Bárbara" (1945), "Adiós Pampa Mía" (1946), "Mi Noche Triste" (1951) and "Los Chicos Crecen" (1976). She was the last witness of a time and also the origin of a long dinasty of artists as her daughter the actress María Rosa Fugazot, the actors Gogó Andreu, Tono Andreu, Angelica Anchart, Alberto Anchart and the dancer Rafael Gamas. She died in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
