Funeral services for Christine "Sweet Pea" Ackerman will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah. Interment will follow at the Castle Cemetery.
Christine Ackerman was born August 12, 1968 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Jerry Wayne Johnson and Jo Ann (Long) Johnson. She passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at her home in Okemah at the age of 47.
Christine had been a resident of the Okemah area most all of her life. She worked as a home health care worker and enjoyed fishing and playing bingo.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry P. Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Don Dave Ackerman of Okemah; two sons, Johnathan Johnson of Okemah and Cody and Jess Johnson of Okemah; four daughters, Kristin Johnson of Okemah, Melinda Woodruff of Okemah, Feather Ackerman of Okemah and Rebecca Ackerman of Cromwell; two brothers, Marvin Johnson and wife Michelle of Okemah and Trampas Johnson and wife Kay of Wetumka, Oklahoma; four sisters, Terri Tillery and husband Steve of Okemah, Linda Williamson and husband Wayne of Okemah, Barbara Smith and husband Wes of Okemah and Kimberly Billings of Castle, Oklahoma and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah and officiated by Mark and Terita Rich.
